Bio
I've been playing for most of my life (over 30 years) but up until the last two years, I was in a sort of a rut and didn't do much advancing for quite a while. Now I play 2-3 or more hours a day every day. I have 3 good electric guitars, a MIM Fat Strat with a Pearly Gates humbucker in the bridge, a very good Les Paul clone (RavenWest)and a new Fender Artist's Model Strat on the way. Also a Jay Turser LP I bought just to have set up high for bottleneck slide in Open G tuning. I also have an Ovation Acoustic Electric that sounds good. I've got 2-3 practice amps and one gig-worthy Fender Cyber Twin (no it's not all tube but a hybrid with a tube pre-amp). It will do until the right all-tube amp comes along. 165 watts into 2 X 12". I have and use only quality effects, mainly by Fulltone. I have an OCD, and soon will have the Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe and the Fulltone Clyde Deluxe wah pedal. And an Olympic LS-10 Linear Digital Recorder. I haven't played harmonica for a long time. But if needed for a certain song I could do it. I added 2 audio files, they are not as current as I'd like and all I had to record them with was a USB Lightsnake and a PC. There is a time lag on some PCs with a Lightsnake, so that can be a drag when doing overdubs, but if that's all you have, it is better than nothing. When I get my new guitar, new effects and that Digital Recorder together, I will get some newer, better files up. Peoples! you need to get your audio up on this site! As for finding a band, I think "open mike night" is my best bet. But who knows? Live to Play!
Audio
  • Overdub done with USB Lightsnake & Audacity. Give it until about 16 seconds in. Overdub timing slightly off due to time lag!
  • This is Old. I am better now, but I kind of like this anyway...except that last note! "Machine Gunesque"

Looking For
  • Basically a band that needs one more guitarist. I want to play some lead, and some rhythm, so I am looking for a Rhythm Guitarist who can do both rhythm and lead so we can swap out and back each other up, a Bass Player, a Drummer and and vocalist for 3-4 piece band. Blues, Blues Rock, Classic Rock, Electrified Blues. I'd be happy as hell just doing Robin Trower Covers plus original stuff in that genre, but of course some Hendrix would be very cool and some SRV (as soon as I learn some SRV!) Playing with others in a band or jam session is the best way to expand musically and improve at an even faster rate.,
Oh yeah! I like Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top too. I work evenings which means I get off work at 1:00 AM or 2:00 Am and I work some Saturdays too, but I can give that up immediately if there is jamming and eventual gigging to do.
