Hello, my name is Jon, I am 24, been playing music for almost 10 years now, but only seriously for about 5 or so. I've been playing with this guy who was backing me up on bass, we did a few really awesome shows in town, but have since parted ways musically. I am at the point where I am making some decent sounding home recordings and I really want to expand upon this and move that sound into a more permentant live environment. Full intentions of touring someday, and releasing albums (self releasing if I have to).

This summer I am working on recording two seperate albums, re-recording an album I did in 2005, and then a batch on newer songs that have been most of what I have been playing out live.

I've been playing guitar the longest, mostly acoustic stuff, but I will play some simple lead stuff sometimes. I generally like to keep things simple in my songs and let the mood/feeling/and most importantly of all lyrics be the main focus.

Looking for many different sounds to collaborate with. Most importantly a bassist, lead/rhythm guitar, backing vocals (preferably female) and a keyboard/melocida player. I'm also really interested in someone who fits that critera who also plays cello or accordian. Or just someone who plays any of the instruments listed and would like to collaborate with me on some recordings or live events.

• I'd say I am intermediate, I don't really focus on musical theory in the process of songwriting, I mean I suppose I do, but I don't really try to. I just play what sounds right to me. It sometimes takes me awhile to start writing song accompaniments, because of this, but I am open to suggestions, but overall I've been getting better with this. Also I intend to focus a little more on this aspect when I have more people to work with, I think it's important to have a strong core of a song already established first.
