• I'm looking for a band! I'm a 50 bassist who is a classic rock/blues rock/southern rock player ( I'll do some country, but I really don't like playing traditional country, I find that style, a little on the boring side, but I'll play it, as the market demands it. ), I make NO claims to any singing ability, but I can do SOME back-up vocals, with that out of the way ..... I'm wanting to play danceable/foot-tapping music that will get people up and dancing ... That's what people want to hear when they go out to have fun ... makes bar owners happy.... cause dancing people drink more ... I'm looking for a band that is looking/waiting for a player ... I'm not looking for a start-up band ( too much work and too much waiting for the right whatever !!! ), but something that is very close to playing out. I have good equipment and transportation, I'm looking for a band with the personal is in the ages of 40 - 59 years old. I might add that I'd would prefere a band that has no ego issues or has those issues behind them, no meddling spouse/girlfriend/boyfriend issues, no high drama, and no druggies or drunks or flakes, .... just looking for people who are commited to producing good mainstream music that will get a band booked and paid, ... I might add, I'd would like a band that is run in somewhat in a group format, meaning everyone has a say in what is being played and other like decussions, or I should say basicly, ... I'm looking for a band that is run like a business ..... not like a Hitler Youth Group !!!! I can learn songs fairly quickly, if I can hear it, I most likely can figure out how it's played, in a few minutes, I also can read cord charts,and bass clef. Also, Idealy, I'm looking for something on the West/Northwest part of town, but that usually never happens, but if the band is a good group of people, who get along, and has worked out the issues that kill a band, then I'll make the drive, provided it's with-in a reasonable distance ( 40 miles one-way )!
