Band - Fred Flintstone

I look like Fred Flintstone. But Play Bass and sing. I am originally from Westland, MI just outside of Detroit. I began my love of Bass at 20. I have played with several Detroit area Bands before moving to Texas. In 1986 I cut an alblum with the now defunct Detroit band: "V.A.L.I.S." there I experimented with various sounds and techniques.
I play a Schector Diamond Series Elite Black Cherry with neck through body 4 string with Gold Hardware. I also play a 5 string Amber Sunburst Schector Diamond Elite Series, it too with Gold Hardware (I think the gold adds 15 extra horsepower!) I also have an old Fender P bass that has EMG active pickups in both the neck and bridge. This thing rocks! I use a Shure wireless guitar system that allows me to wander among the crowd and boogie with any and all willing fans! I play all this through a Carvin Red Line R-1000 head and a Carvin 8 x 10 cabinet. This system really rocks! I call it my "Audio De-tor!" If you stand directly in front of this system and I hit a very low note, very loudly, your heart will either stop, or start, depending on your condition! LOL

Oddly enough, my biggest influence is John Entwistle of the "Who". I say oddly because even though I have listened to him for years, I have never played any "Who" music on stage. I love the Motown walking bass. Growing up in Detroit, you can imagine the sounds I grew up with.

• I have been playing bass for 28 years. I love it. I am always hearing bass tracks in my head. Even as a child, my daddy says that I would humm the bass parts on the radio and I didn't even know I was doing it. lol I enjoy workinig a crowd and am not afraid to wander out among them.
