Phillip Coomer is a Texas singer / songwriter who writes songs with no "Hit Potential" whatsoever. He was taught to write songs by his Grandfather Tom Dennis. Coomer still writes songs today with his grandfathers 1938 Gibson guitar. Influenced by John Denver, John Prine and other singer/songwriters Coomer has developed a fresh, unique soulful attack to love songs. Phil was raised in North Fort Worth and graduated from TCU

• I see my self as primarily a songwriter. I have played most of the folk venues in Tarrant County and Dallas County. I tend to write mostly love songs and generally in the folk/country genera's. Have enough songs for a third album but have not yet completed this project beyond demo stage and song selections.

Other than that I would like to find bands or individuals to cover some of my original songs. I'd like to work with some other songwriters and musicians who are within reach, mostly for fun and development, and recording projects
