Bio
When I saw the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1963, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. Although only 4 years old, it made a very deep impression on me. The very next day, I grabbed my older brothers' old guitar, (with 2 strings on it!) and started following along with my sisters' "Meet The Beatles"... I wore out 3 copies of it and she was upset to say the least! I did my first live public performance in 1965 at the ripe age of 6 years old and have been consumed with music ever since. I played in school bands, symphonic, jazz, and marching band, did the whole band camp thing... what a hoot! The highlight of my school years was when our jazz band won the state competition and earned the opportunity to open for the Glen Miller Orchestra in 1975... the final year Tex Beneke performed... OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! I picked up a guitar in '72, formed my first rock band in '76.
I met my wife, Deb, while in Phoenix for school. She has become my best friend and confidant, as well as my business partner... she enrolled in the very same program and the Conservatory and graduated in April. Her main interest in all this is primarily the business and legal end of things. Together, we are chasing our dream. Desert Trax Accompaniments will specialize in the production and manufacturing of CDG's... Karaoke Discs, our primary product. We are in the building stages and are always looking for others interested in helping get the company off the ground. We have a long way to go, but when the right team finally comes together, the sky's the limit. Feel free to drop us an email... we love meeting new people with similar interests!

Experience
  • We performed at "Canada Mini Jam III"in 1981... an outdoor "Woodstockish" festival behind Triumph, Mitch Ryder, and Gotto. The 1980's found me in a three piece power trio playing bass guitar in a real 80's big hair heavy metal band. Working shows with the likes of early Slayer, Megadeth, and such, it was quite an expierience. In 1987, I did a 180 and traded my Aquanet for a cowboy hat and boots. I performed solo, no machine accompaniment - just me and a guitar - for several years. In 1995, I got involved with four very talented guys and Crossroads was born. We played the bar circuit in Pittsburgh's Mon Valley area for 18 months and even went to Nashville and recorded an album of 7 cover and 3 original songs. The album never went anywhere but it exposed me to the world of engineering. I was totally fascinated with all the technology and my direction once again changed. From 1998, when Crossroads dis-banded, until 2004 I owned a Karaoke company called WildeMan Unlimited and later Thunder Road Karaoke. This experience exposed me to ALL styles and genres of music and I learned the differences in each regarding style, mix, instrumentation, and so on. In 2000, I started HomeSpun Studios... recording karaoke singers to CD for demo purposes. We also do voice-overs, radio spots, mastering and many other audio services. We can create music for your lyrics, or lyrics for your music. In 2004, I enrolled at the Conservatory Of Recording Arts And Sciences for their Masters II Recording Program. There, we learned how the pro's do it... it was the best move I had ever made. I graduated in April 2005 and have since embarked on a new mission... My own Publishing Company and Recording Studio...
