About Michael Hood


Michael began playing piano at the age of five. Michael's first live performance was at the wedding of Diana and Scott Bately's in Centralia, IL, when he was only nine! Michael played the talent show circuit throughout Southern Illinois. In 1993, at the Salem Community Talent Show put on by the Selmaville Ambassadors, Michael was offered his first paying gig. Michael played at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield at the request of the Selmaville Ambassadors.

His family moved to Florida in 1994. Michael began accompanying his high school choir during practices and performances. It was also during this time that Michael began playing weddings throughout his community.

In August 1997, Michael moved to San Antonio, Texas. Within his first year of relocating, Michael realized his dream of having his own piano business by opening The Piano Man, which included lessons, performances, tunings and repairs, and appraisals. Michael also consulted local businesses and private individuals looking to make an investment in a piano for their establishment or home. He gained enough exposure to perform with several different bands and played the keys for three different tours that came through Texas.

Michael now resides in Las Vegas and is currently performing all over the city for special events. Michael prides himself in being professional in all aspects of his business and would love to perform at your venue!
