singer songwriter who went from being rob halford in a priest tribute band,to a mellow ,self taught keyboard guy ,very strong lyricist,raised on soul,rock,southern rock,hard and soft,easy listening etc.i have more songs(good ones)then anyone who isnt an ex beatle.have great musical sensibilities yet everything i know i taught myself.harmonies ,melodies all of it.

born in 1960 i was hearing the great hits of the 70s and just absorbing them.they were catchy ,lyrically brilliant ..and you learned them by listening.i didnt discover i was musical until after age 19 when i took up singing one day.
had bands with my brother growing up.he liked straight ahead hard rock,i was digging progressive,and zappa and stuff a little deeper.
now,i sound like..eltonjohn,paul carrack,phil collins,peter gabriel,and a myriad of others id mmm,borrowed from.i borrow styles tho not riffs ,so its become my own sound for sure ,just inspired .

- many bands with my bro back east ,moved to hollywood too late for the genre of music we were (priest/queensryche)tired of heavy metal in the late 80s...joined the staff of MUSICIANS INSTITUTE after attending the then-new vocal school,stayed 3 years and then moved to las vegas with my bro,(tim kelly/slaughter/guitarist).between the years 94 to present ive woodshedded my songwriting and piano playing and have written my strongest stuff to date ,most of it after the untimely death of my bro in 98.
talk is cheap ya gotta hear it. what i need now are talented friends who not only play ...but can record,engineeer,run protools,or my gear i have a computer (pc)and use my roland 18 track at home.
NEW:i finally figured out how to burn cds from the hard drive.
