Personal Statement:
“After being in and around the music business for this long, all I want to do is entertain people. Call me lazy, but I've no aspirations of being a rock star anymore. I still write music for my own amusement, but I always have gotten a kick out of seeing how close I can duplicate a record or translating someone else’s idea into sound. As far as playing live, if their heads don’t bob, we ain’t doing our job!
Personal Info:
Currently employed as a Senior R&D Tech at National Instruments in Austin, TX. Married (to the same lady) since 1981. Non-smoking, no drugs. Not looking to do this full time (been there, done that). Weekly rehearsals and weekend shows (with the occasional out-of-town show) is all good.
Other Abilities:
Certified Electronics Technician. Accomplished live sound FOH and monitor mix engineer. Experience with power distribution, live performance system troubleshooting, system engineering, and automated/conventional lighting programming. Can read music, transcribe, and chart for group or ensemble. Can repair/maintain/modify audio and lighting electronics.
