Bio
42, been playing on and off for many years and I'm still not very good. I've been recording my own songs since I was a teenager, mainly so I'd have something to listen to in the car. I played guitar in "Page 9" from '89-'93 and then again from '03-'04. We were a highly experimental group and did a lot of improvisation, which is what I love most about jamming. We did all original songs in many styles and genres. Sound was very important to all of us, but especially me.
I'm pretty laid back and have a good sense of humor. My guitar technique may seem a bit unorthodox to some, but people I jam with seem to have fun with it.

I've been putting more recent recordings here, but I thought I'd go back in time for this week's song "The Weather is Changing". I recorded it back in 1989 on a cassette 4 track.

Experience
  • Well, I'm not sure if I could calculate the specific amount of years I've been playing, since I take hiatus's here and there and noodle with lots of different instruments. I started in my teens, went through a lot of cheesy and pointless bands, played with a whole lot of folks, dabbled on lots of instruments, sang a bit (not very good), recorded a lot and truly loved most of my experiences with Page 9.

To sum up, I love to jam with interesting and open minded musicians at any level.
Looking For
  • I'd like to find a few guys and/or gals that are into improvisational jam sessions. Just make it up as we go. To me, that's true jamming and is like performing a Vulcan Mind Meld with the others.

I know this is asking a lot these days, but if I could just find a drummer (any level), that would be a great start. Then a bass player and keyboard player would round things out. We could get together once or twice a week and have stress free jams and maybe even record a bit.
