I'm a 24 year old University of Michigan graduate who is looking to start jamming on a regular basis and with the right people start playing out. I was in a band 3 years ago which played out on a semi-regular basis, however the group disbanded after a series of poor choices made by the guitar player. Needless to say, we were about to open up for the Benevento Russo Duo at the Blind Pig but had to cancel due to the aforementioned problem. We would play 4 hour shows consisting of 2 sets with a 15 minute break with a cover to original ratio of 25/75.

I work monday-friday 8:45-5 out in Livonia but I live in downtown Ann Arbor and have a place for my drums there. I'm able to practice almost every night of the week depending on what I have planned. I like to party just like the rest and enjoy the finer things in life ;)

My favorite band has been and still is Phish. They started it all for me musically. This is not to say that Phish is all I listen to, however. I love the Benevento Russo Duo, Frank Zappa, Fela Kuti, The Dead, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Ween, Squarepusher, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Gilberto Gil, Umphrey's McGee (sometimes), The Jazz Mandoling Project, Tin Hat Trio, My Morning Jacket...I can't think of them all. But I LOVE music and I LIVE to play!

• I do not have an amazing repotoire of experience. I've played plenty of gigs in Ann Arbor and some in Chicago. My previous band had enough material to play from 10-2 only taking a 15 minute break. We played at least 75% of our own material while having enough covers to satisfy the thirst of the crowd.

• I'm looking for a bass player mostly. I need to become acquainted with the bassist before any magic can happen in a group setting. The bassist and the drummer have to be able to listen to each other or it just won't work.
  
  I'm also looking for a keys player who plays synth and organ.
