Called by NY Times a "gamely vocal stylist" Scoop has drawn comparisons to David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Iggy Pop, Mick Jagger, and Steven Tyler. He is currently fronting NYC based MASLOW, a 10 month new project with former Ten Pound Strike: Warped Tour NYC 2006, Locobazooka, Whale-a-looza, MEANY Fest. MASLOW's M boys drive it hard and deliver a swift blow influenced by Queens of the Stoneage, Velvet Revolver, and Queen, with a physically charged, fist punching live show that takes you by storm.
Scoop came into his own with a long awaited multi-influenced solo rock ep, "Sunday Someday," 2006, (available on AppleiTunes) Thanks to the help of collaborator/producer Billy Atwell and rock vocal shaman Katie Agresta his multi- genric roots in rock, opera, country, musical theatre, classical, vocal jazz, and a capella fused into "Sunday Someday" and continues to inform his personal vocal style.
Riding the ep's wave, Scoop formed Cobra Lily, a Brooklyn based pop-punk/glam band, and was the feature of a GBX shoe print and music video campaign in Rolling Stone, Spin, Vibe and Complex magazinea. As a result, he was the subject of a Q & A article in Footwear News.
